HSK Test
Hanyu Shunping Kaoshi, or HSK Chinese Proficiency Test, is an international standardized exam that tests and rates Chinese language proficiency organized by the Confucious University, and directly assessed and held by the education department of China. It assesses non-native Chinese speakers' abilities in using Chinese in daily, academic, and professional scenarios.
Native Chinese speakers can obtain the qualification of being a Mandarin tutor by passing the highest-level HSK (level VI) exam. By passing equal or above Level VI exams, all students can have the opportunity to be exchange students in top Chinese colleges (in China), as well as attend a Chinese educational summer camp free of charge. BIM has become an HSK test center recently for the Northern Virginia area, which will allow other students in our area to take the test from our school (after the COVID pandemic) in the future. The test is only open to BIM students for now If you are interested in taking the HSK test, please contact the Mandarin program teacher Maggie Li or Alan Mao via email.
